The sending unit isnt cracked but I do think its bad. Just making sure the pressures fine and its ok to have tuned without worrying about it blowin up

Aww that sucks. You'd need to remove the intake manifold to replace the sending unit.

When this engine is broken in, change to a K&N or Mobil One Extended filter.

Good luck!

I run about 60-70 cold start-up & 40-45 at idle when warm and that is with a Melling High Volume Pump (10296)

With that many miles your oil pressure sounds fine...my 75k motor with a stock ls6 pump holds 40 psi of pressure so I'd say your good...I don't know why that other guy said its not, you only need 10 psi of oil pressure per 1000 rpm technically. I don't know why people on here think you need 60+ psi to be good. Too much pressure just starves the engine in my opinion, I wouldnt run a ported or high volume pump unless I had some sort of aftermarket oil pan or a strokes motor that was real radical. Your cool man. Just don't use synthetic oil if you are trying to seat rings..I would run rosella like you were for the first few hundred miles just because it has more zinc for extra protection. I def would not run 5w-20, I only run 5w-30 because that is what the engineers who designed the motor intended it to run on...20 weight toooo thin. Good luck man
