Piston ring compressor
Piston ring compressor what type of piston ring compressor are you guys using to install your pistons? are you using a wrinkle band compressor? Adjustable ring compressor (like the one from summit)? Or are y'all using a piston ring compressor set with pliers and bands? what brand do you recommend i buy... im not looking to cheap out on this product im looking for quality and ease of use. thank you
I just ordered a proform plier type from pace perfomance for 50 bucks. If you look around most of them are the same "style" and from what I could gather from pictures they are most likely the same manufacturer. I went with the plier type for leverage and ease of use instead of dicking around with an adjustable band type.
I would have bought one of the tapered ring compressors as I have too read that they are awesome. But I wanted something a little more adjustable. If you know someone in a machine shop they maybe able to make you one for 20-30 bucks.
