Default Installing heads soon....

I'm getting ready to purchase a new set of heads. Currently, I'm running a comp cam 226/231 .614.617 lift @ 113 lsa, 7.4 hardened pushrods, ls6 oil pump, Long tube headers and a fast 78. I want to add some PRC 2.5 LS6 heads to my current setup. Would these heads provide the best bang for my buck? I also want to upgrade my stock rockers as well. What do you guys recommend? How much more rwhp will I see by upgrading these components. I'm at 387 rwhp right now.

I recommend keeping your stockers and doing the comp cams triunion upgrade it only cost around $100 bucks if you have the tools + there are a few write ups if you do a search the stock rockers work well especially with this upgade im sure others will chime in and agree with me!!!

i went this route with the triunion upgrade. but i did not like it as it made to much noise with the LSL lobe cam i had, so i switched to yella terra ultra lights. dont get me wrong the upgrade worked great, i just didnt like the added noise from the stockers with the high lift i was pushing. so much quieter and very good valvetrain suitability when set up right.

i have most of the same mods you do (or what to put on) but my cam is a 227/235 .617/.621 113lsa and i run the PRC 2.5 5.3 heads. i made 440rwhp through an unported FAST 92/92 combo and bad gas (military base 91 octaine). so i see you atlease making 420-425 with those heads, but the inlet on your fast is holding back about 10hp

Those prc stage 2.5 heads are def the way to go unless you can afford something ridiculous expensive like afrs....on the rocker I would say do the trunnion upgrade, but if you set up the yella Terra's or some Harland sharps right then they will be much quieter like the last guy said. You will for sure be making at least 415 up at the wheels for sure, even more if you're only running stock heads now

Roller tip rockers also free up some HP. No reason not to get a decent set. Trunion upgrade is the cheap way to go.

Unless you count the added probability of valve train instability and possible valve float due to their weight.

It seems quite common in the dyno section here.
