Default Engine noise(please help)

Well i feel pretty crappy this being my first post here but here we go. I was cruising down the express way when i passed a honda all riced out. When i passed him he swerved over behind me so down shifted to 3rd and pulled away easly. Well thats when it started to go bad, then i went to go into 4th and my pro5.0 shifted car slid right into 2nd. I tried to push the clutch in as fast as i could but it wasnt fast enough.
My motor started missing real bad at first then the miss went away and i thought everything might be cool. So i pulled off the express way and now there is a tapping or tikking noise in the motor and i was wondering if anyone could shed some light on my problem of what the noise could be. The motor still runs smoothly, has good power still, and hasnt lost any oil pressure. Anyhelp would be appreciated. thanks

I dont really know much, but i believe that quite a few people have done that same thing and just bent their push rods. Hopefully thats all it is. Good luck

pushrods, easy to check

if the car is missing bad adn you get a flashing ses light, probably bent some valves

but pushrods is the easy answer

My guess would be some bent pushrods, and like they say, cheapest and easiest things first, so take a look at 'em, hope it's nothing major and you get it all worked out, good luck!!
