After a bad 918 valve spring took out 1 of my ported 241 heads and a piston, I'm rebuilding the top end of my motor (and replacing just the one damaged piston).
I was making 398whp with ported 241s, a cam of unknown origins (likely a mild 22x/22x) that came with the car when I bought it (previous owner didn't know specs), an LS6 intake and ported stock t-body.
I want to make close to 450whp with as-cast LS6 heads, and the same manifold/t-body... ideally I'd like to swap to a FAST 9x/9x and bigger flowing set of heads later and make close to 500whp. But right now the budget is going to allow only LS6 stock heads, dual springs, and a new cam.
What cam is going to put me in the range (or close) I want to be in?
I was thinking maybe an MS3 or Tsunami cam, what else?
Thanks
