Default lq9, 6.0L lsx questions

This is my first post here so howdy everyone. I was looking at the 6.0 that Texas Speed sells. Is there any difference from this and a lq9/lq4? I'm looking to get a ls1 camaro and wanting to swap to the lq9/lq4 or that 6.0 from Texas Speed if there is any difference. I have done a lot of research on this. To my understanding so far..the lq9/lq4 needs to have the 24x reluctor in order to use the stock computer. I read something about having to modify the intake to fit. What is that all about? Is there anything else involved? Thanks.

first off both the lq9 and lq4 are gen 3 motors so they will both have the 24x reluctor wheel...

im not totally sure but the 6.0 shortblock i saw on texas speed was a ls2/l76 which would be the 58x reluctor wheel and not work...

Also you dont have to modify the intake, it will fit on either LQ motor without an issue...i think you were talking about running the truck intake...if you use ur ls1 intake and fuel rail/inj then you can just drop the topend on and go..

I can't remember who it is, but there is a company that makes a conversion box so you can din a 58 tooth reluctor and your computer reads it as a 24 tooth. Also Summit racing sells a 4.30" bore iron block with mains, and cam bearings for $749 now....get your Texas Speed 4" rotating assy, drop it in and go....408

I appreciate it. Yea i saw that block on Summit. I was figuring it was pretty much the same block i saw on Texas Speed just built by a different manufacturer.

I don't think the one on Texas Speed is a ls2 block because it says its a gen lll.
