Since you have an LS1 from before 2001, you have the LS1 intake instead of the LS6 intake. Add the LS6 intake and get it retuned, you should pick up at least 10-15HP from that alone.

Is your car A4 or M6? If you have an auto a stall would help and a shift kit.

I wouldn't worry about sub-frame connectors, not until your car starts making some serious power.
I didnt think you could run a bigger than stock tb with the ls6?? :/

If you don't want to do headers because of the noise you could hook it to a SLP Dual Dual catback. That's what I have and it's still very quiet, I can barely hear it in my car, all my friends catbacks on factory manifolds and cats put mine to shame noise level wise. But if you absolutely don't want headers you could do the ls6 intake manifold, that's what I'm doing next.

My goodness there is a lot of nonsense in this thread.

3600-3800 stall,Transgo shift kit, Trans cooler, drag radials,LPW girdlefor the ten bolt and weld your axle tubes. You will tear a lot of cars up,hit much better ETs with that 112 MPH trap speed and be more relaible to boot.

Yeah seriously. OP if you want the most power without headers or touching internals you are already pretty much maxed out aside from the intake swap along with the ported throttle body. 3600 stall minimum with 3.73s, a shift kit and girdle would be a good idea.

i want more power but dont want to do any heavy mods. no H/C/I or headers. i was told i just do like after market suspension? torque arms contorl arms, subframe connectors, swaybars. I just dont know what will really make a difference. Im thinking about do a throttle body. Not sure if im gonna do it
if you go bigger tb you still need to play with the comp, l/t headers is a way to go. a slight cam mod with springs is not even a weekend job and will net you any where from 20 to 50hp. has the car been dynoed and or tuned at all after the exhaust airlid ect?

Trans cooler, stall, gears possibly, tune and DR's, I can't think of much else that will actually make a big difference. Also, I just have to ask and maybe I missed it, but what is wrong with a simple set of LT's? They will help you a lot. Since when are they even considered a "heavy" mod, that's just a simple bolt-on last time I checked.
