how to tell difference between a 5.3 and 4.8? Hi im look to pick up a 5.3 off a guy but unsure how tell if its a 5.3 and not a 4.8. So how can I tell he says its a 04 model

Not sure how to figure it out just by looking at the engine, but if you can get the VIN from the vehicle it was in you can find out that way. Only difference I know of between them is the crankshaft and pistons...
