Question Do these numbers seem right?

2004 GTO (LS1)
Cam: Comp 54-444-11 (224/230 .581, .592, 114) XER273HR-14
Heads: PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 CNC Ported Heads milled for 11:1
Headers: Pacesetters 1.75", no cats
3200 RPM Converter
Cold Air
Tuned

I was told my numbers would be higher with a less "loose" converter.

I need to ask the shop why the run didn't start < 4200 RPM. I would expect to see numbers starting around 2k or so right?

Max Power: 374
Max Torque: 352

I was really hoping to break into the magic 400s for HP. FYI, this is my daily driverr.

Yes a converter can sway the numbers significantly, but I still think you should be higher.

Who did the tune? The torque curve looks like crap even with 5 smoothing.

Youve never operated a chassis dyno before have you? if you want a pull from 2k, you have to have a manual car. Automatics are tougher, not only does the torque converter flash, but the transmission wants to downshift.

Unless you have HPTuners or something and lock the car into a certain gear through the interface.

It was tuned at SpeedTek in Hurst/Ft Worth. Don't remember the guys name.

Correct, first time I've had anything done to a car, which is why I was asking questions

I just wasn't sure if it was common to see it start at 4k. If the car was tuned at the same time, wouldn't they lock it into a gear and do the pull, or is that not a common practice?

With the GTO 4 speed automatic, you can put it in 3rd and at 71mph (~3200rpm) and if you punch it, it will not downshift and you can start the pull that low. Seems like the guy operating the dyno did not know that so he just started it up high to make sure it would not downshift.
