Default Internal trouble... Ideas??

I was driving my car down the road today and noticed a ticking sound, and I know the LS1 is known for the notorious "tick" but it was different this time, it sounded like there was metal rattling around somewhere in the engine (possibly a bearing????) also after a minute or two it developed a "squeak" idk if its a pully bearing squeaking or what but here is a video for yall to listen.

Also the rattling went away as soon as I was pulling into my neighborhood...

Ideas anyone?

Remove the oil filter and carefully cut it apart and look for metal.
Drain the oil and do the same.
It's cheap diagnostics.

It has that dull sound of a rod bearing.

If the filter and oil look good, look elsewhere.
Try removing all the belts and see.

Yep, sounds like the bottom end going. How many miles on the car?

160xxx

We think it's either a collapsed lifter, collapsed valve spring, or a bent pushrod

**** my car just started making that same noise and I'm 500 miles from home....

So this may be a stupid question..but how driveable is a car with a bent pushrod?

Would I be able to make it home if I kept the RPM's low on the highway?

What kind of damage am I looking at if it gets worse?
