Will a oil free cam rust inside?

Will a oil free cam rust inside? I brought my Torquer 2 inside from my building to make sure it wasn't rusted up and when I wiped everything off of it I got to thinking willl it rust now? Also the only thing oil based I have right now is gear oil. Would it hurt to put that on it just to protect it from rust.

Also the 241s I plan to use have been sitting in the building for quite awhile and I got one out and looked at it. It doesn't have rust anywhere but then again its aluminum lol. Is there anything that could have happened to them from sitting about a year in a dry but not climate controlled building? Also would an oil pump be damaged from sitting?
