Default compression test results, dry and wet

dry 205,210,205,205 driver side
wet 220,225,220,220 passenger

Engine is using almost 1 qrt of oil in just 300 miles. No smoke, good mpg highway and runs strong. No leaks either. Only 90k miles stock engine.

Oil rings is were I would be going. Compression seem good, but the compression test does not test the oil rings. What happens is the build up with carbon and stick to the piston and do not scrap the cylinder walls of oil.

Been seeing alot with the newer DOD/AFM trucks

Seafoam might help. Do you get on it hard often? Sometimes just opening her up can help clear some of the crap out. I would guess you give he hell every so often so probably not going to help on this one.

Kerosene or trannyfluid can help but you need to know what you are doing otherwise you can cause damage. The big thing is to not let it run at all with either in the engine.

sometimes the ring end gaps line up on you. It's happened to me a few times.

there is some stuff you can get at the GM dealer, (top engine cleaner) it is some pretty bad *** stuff. We use it to decarbon motors it works well to loosen rings up. Not saying it will work for you but it could be a start and see how it works. Pull the plugs and follow the direction on the bottle and let sit for 24 hrs.

I have some deepcreep that I can spray in each plug hole. I might try. I got some marvel mystery oil yesterday and added that to the oil. The car does seem to have more power after doing the wet compression test. Maybe that loosened up the rings.
