Head have very little to no affect on engine emissions. Go with some stage one heads with that mild cam.

TEA is running a special on Stg. 1.25 heads. I have a set of stg. 2's and love them. Give them a call up and see what they recommend.

or afr or absolute.. hey just a thought. most of the shops recommend matching
the cam to the head. not the other way around....

for good power id go with PATRIOTS stage 2 5.3 head with a 10.8:1 CR
they come with DUAL GOLD springs, Ti retainers, 2.02/1.57 valves, and NEW VITON seals.........and there only $1,295 bucks.....thats what im looking at anyway!

I would go with this set up. Being a Patriot customer I can vouch for it's performance.

I would to with TEA, Absolute or MTI with TEA being my personal favorite of the three.

Heads can effect emissions. It depends on what's done to the head. Larger valves tend to dirty up emissions. A valve job that has very high flow at .100 lift will dirty up emissions because reversion can occur with very high flow when the valve is barely off the seat. Massive exhaust ports can also encourage reversion and dirty up emissions. Normally, with a pair of quailty LS1 heads none of this is a concern. TEA, Absolute, MTI & other sponsors have a great record of doing quailty heads that don't have emission related issues.

As mentioned above cam selection, exhaust system & proper tuning generally have the most dramatic impact on emissions.
