Default help with oil pump issue!

Im pretty sure the reason i popped the motor in my 98 was due to a failed oil pump....damn 98s. Well im putting a new motor in, also from a wrecked 98 and i want to be DAMN SURE this doesnt happen again. What are you guys' reccomendations as far as which pump is the best. Ive seen thunders modified LS6 pump, also seen a ported and blueprinted SLP pump. Which one should I get?

I got the TSP ported LS6 pump. It's a great piece and isn't too expensive

I personally would go with the Thunder Racing unit over the SLP.

I went with the TS&P Ported LS6 Pump & then just recently sent it out to AP Engineering for their coating process - Oil Shedding Coating on the outside + teflon coating on the gears & the inside (you can only send out a pump for coating that has not been installed yet)
