What size socket for oil pressure sending unit?

What size socket for oil pressure sending unit?

what size socket is it and how long of a socket? is there a specific socket for it and can that be had at autozone/checket/advance type auto stores?

I saw one at Autozone the other day, I think it was like $5.00, It looked to be a pretty tall socket(actually says its for a Oil Pressure Sending unit) though and stated it was for GM vehicles 1991 > newer... At another auto store they had 2 sockets for GM, one was short and the other was taller - with my intake off right now I'd say definitely get the taller socket.

Maybe someone else who's actually purchase one will jump in and respond.

cool thanks. any possibilities of doing this without removing the intake if i have that taller socket?

Its really hard to say, before I removed my intake I tried to reach back their (trying to get a general idea where it was) and I couldn't find it. I'd see if someone else might be able to answer that question cause I really don't see how you change it without removing the intake (its damn tight back there). Once you pull the intake its really easy to get to.

I have a digital pic showing its location, I could post it if you need it.

You are definitely going to need the deep version of the oil pressure sending unit socket. You can purchase one of these from any of the local part stores.
