Default F11 or F13

I'm doing a cam swap in my LS1 and I can't decide between the F11 and F13. I have read that both cams are very impressive but, my concern is not only with hp. I also want driveability to be good as well due to my car being a dd. I was thinking a 3600 stall with the F13 or a 3200 stall with the F11. My car has 4.10s and my question is will the driveability be that much different between these two cams? I'm thinking with a good tune you could barely tell the difference. Am i wrong?

wow you should be pulling the front tires for sure with the 4.10's in it, is it a stock 10 bolt?

Yeah it still has the 10 bolt. I'm hoping it will last for a little bit at least after i do the stall and h/c swap. I'm pretty sure its just luck. Heads it lasts, tails it doesn't. haha

I used to run a F11 with a Yank SS3600. I absolutely loved it. Only reason I changed it was because I built and stroked the motor so Allan spec'd a custom grind for me.

Would both of these cams be great with a set of ported 243's or would one be better than the other?

My thoughts exactly. A F14=TV2. And I use to run a TV2 with a Vig 3200 and loved it.

Since my car is a dd i want a cam that has a nice power curve so i can get the most use out of it on the street. At the same time i want to run 11's when i go to the strip. I was thinking that the F13 would be the biggest i would want to go.

Shelf grinds work for almost anybody, But I also think a custom grind will work better than most shelf grinds. For an extra 20-25 bucks why wouldnt you get something perfect for your set up?

most people ask for the the same wants...i want a cam that i can drive everyday, or make x amount of hp, or whatever. These cars are so old that there are endless results of a cam that will suit peoples needs.

If custom is the way to go, why isnt everybody running the exact same custom cam, when their wants is what the next person wants? Nothing wrong with a custom, its just funny that everybody is on the custom cam bandwagon when the HP gains arent that much better than an off the shelf cam that didnt give you a headache trying to decide..lol

I would only opt for a custom if my car was a straight up drag car, or went bigger cubes. But my goals is mainly like 80-90% of people on here.. just a fun daily driver street car, that i can toy around with and not try to set records.

I had an F13 with a 3500 stall and the driveability was good. Out of 4 different cams, it had the best throttle response. It also had the best lowend & midrange torque and horsepower.

Exactly what I did. When I went bigger cubes I went with a cam that was custom because my setup was nitrous based but if it wasn't for the bigger cubes I would have kept the F11.

I'd go 3600 stall and f14. The 4.10's will make the f14 have more lowend than an f13 with 3.73's. If you must have one of the other 2, get the f13.

Actually, I just read where Damian lost power going from the f13 to f14. So definitely f13.
