Default Harland Sharpe Rocker install tips

I just finished the install of the Harland Sharpe rockers. Very high quality product. It's almost a shame to cover them. I set these up with Comp R lifters and needed to use the .030 SVO shims. with this shim I have just under a 1/4 turn of preload. Seems about right. I learned a few tricks on the install. I also used the YT directions from www.ls1howto.com. These were very helpful.

First to keep the rocker pedestals up on the rocker, use a dab of grease in the barrel. This will hold the pedestal on the bolt. I also used a dab of grease on the shims to hold them up. This way I did nto need to be a contortionist to get the rockers on the back cyclinders. One hand could set them in.

Second, After all the rockers are bolted up roll the engine by hand and retorque all of the bolts. I did this twice and found a few that were off.

Got it all back together and it fired right up. Less noise than the stock rockers.

Thanks to Nate at Nasty performance for the great deal on the rockers.
