Default Got my HS rockers..**pics**

Big thanks to Nate @ Nasty Performance for the great customer service on these rockers... Yesterday I did some test fitting on the new heads & valve covers to see if there were any clearance issues & as far as I can tell there isn't any... These are nicer in person than I expected & for the price, you can't beat em'... Here are some pics I took yesterday of them & sorry if they aren't that good, the batteries on the diggy cam where juiced.

Mike.

Got mine too. I am setting them up with Comp R lifters. Looks like I will need the "thick" SVO shim and will be at 1/4 turn with 22 FT/LBS of preload on the torque wrench. Nice stuff from Harland Sharpe and Great price from Nate.

Does anybody know what the difference in rotational mass is of the HS compared to the YT's?

Anybody have the weights of the the different aftermarket rockers for LS1's?

Those look pretty saweet!

Nice looking rockers. How much of a gain by adding them, anyone?

Are you confusing area moment of inertia with mass moment of inertia? How can you calculate mass moment of inertia without knowing the rotational mass?

I doubt Jesel, Comp, Harland Sharp , Yella Terra , Patriot Performance etc will give up that info freely. Only quick way of comparing without working out the geometry is just weighing them, although the geometry is just as important as the mass.

Reason I am asking is the possible valvetain instability that has been posted lately with the YT's.

I think that Nate posted on the GP thread that the HS rockers at
10.4 grams lighter than stock...

Which means quicker & higher revs...

Nate also stated a TRUE 10 RWHP gain when he tested....

To compare, you only save about 4 grams when going to
TI retainers...

The 'FAT' yella terras are causing valve float for some folks,
because they're PIG heavy...

I don't think that any other rocker is lighter than stock...

Those look sweet.

Shame to have to put valve covers over them.

Would someone shoot me a PM about where and how much for a set like that? Thanks.

Those look really nice. So you didn't have any problems installing them? Are these the newer version rockers that are supposed to not have any clearance problems?I can't wait to get my set and install them this coming weekend hopefully.

Yella Terras are lighter than stock. They are only heavier at the roller tip, which is why they might cause valve float. As far as I know, there is no proof yet that any rocker is lighter than stock at the tip.
