What is the Piston pop up or out of the hole on a 06' lq9?
I tried a search but didn't see what i was looking for.....
Looks like the 5.7 ls1 is supposed to be at .008 out of the hole or entered in a comp calculator as -.008. Is this the same for a 2006 lq9 out of an 06' Escalade? I saw something in a post about .005 in the hole on newer engines and obviously there is a big difference between .005 in and .008 out.
the tolerance range i had heard is .005-.010 out of the hole, but this was the first i saw about .005 in the hole.
Anybody have any valid info on this? thank you!

can't speak to specifics on the Lq9, but on my LQ4 I got between 0.0127" and 0.016 when measuring with a caliper on 2 different cylinders (averaged 5 measurements on one, 4 on the other.)
This is from a rebuilt Lq4 from an 03 sierra, so we probably have to assume the deck was a bit lower than stock just from the machine work on the block when it was rebuilt.
