Default New cam install, off by 1.25 degrees.

Installed a new cam along with stock LS2 timing chain. Dot to dot and the checked with a degree wheel, it turns out to be retarded 1.25 degrees. What will be the result if I just leave it be? I don't really want to spend any more money on and adjustable timing set, but if it's that important I guess I will.

Wow to the first response. You can just leave it,its not really a big deal. Most will leave it if its within 1.5 degrees of the cam card.If it was more than 2 degrees off than you may want to do something about it.It wont really affect much only being 1.25 off,my cam was .5 degrees off and i was suprised how close it was

How big of a wheel did you use? The little ones suck anyway. Did you only turn it one way, the chain slop (even new) counts in that you know. How many lobes did you check, was the that most, or avrage?

The wheel is around 9 inches. Not sure if it was done in both directions. I believe only one lobe was checked. I'm going to leave it alone for now. Thanks.
