They still make that!? It was a good package back in the day....still is, just outdated. What are you goals/wants with the car? Much newer routes to go these days. Look into EPS or AI custom cams.

If you search in the Dyno Results forum you'll find it makes good power.

The lobes are relatively conservative in terms of both lift and valve velocity so it's a good choice if your priority is durability.

And the LSA makes for a nice-sounding lumpy idle.

There are cams that make more power, but none I know of that can do so without punishing the valvetrain harder.

This is the dyno sheet for my car. Still running the Hotcam. Had it in since 2003.

Very nice... Seems like a nice kit for a decent price. Keeps my car entirely streetable for years to come.

Ever had your car at the track?

Also, what were the differences on your dyno sheet between the 360hp and your 381? Was that all with that cam with tuning, or was that what it had before the cam? Lil more info on your car please

350 TQ at 3000 RPM's is impressive! I hope my car dyno's that much low-end torque when I finish my cam build.

my buddy's 3rd gen had an LT1 with a Hotcam and a 200 shot of giggle juice and ran a 10.6x at LTx Fest last year.
qualified #1 power adder, and only lost in the final round due to tire shake...
his competitor was running a 396 with a bigger cam and running considerably slower.

HOTCAM is an awesome cam...
great all around power, tons of torque...easy for maintenance, and easy on the valvetrain.

It was 381.1, 379.9, and 380.2. That was actually untuned. I rarely drag race. I did run it twice at the drag strip. One day it was 100 degrees. Car had 3.42's and all season tires. 60' times were aweful mph was 111-112. Ran it on a cool (upper 50's) night with heavy fog, and damp air. 4.10's, Twin disk, and same all season tires. Traction was aweful. It would mph 112 to 113 that night. Never ran it on the drag radials, most of the tracks around here closed, and did not feel like destroying my 10-bolt.

Me personally, Im a big WS6store.com fan, the free shipping is what does it for me. Anything over a 100 bucks is free. Im not bashing any other companies, but WS6store is crazy fast shipping and free. cant beat it. its like 480 bucks for the gm hotcam kit, comes with ls6 springs and gm hotcam.

Just double checked price, yeah its 479.95
