Default copper sealant for head gasket

what do yall guys think about putting copper sealant on the head/block/head gasket for it to seal better. ive been doing this for a while now on my old engines, but never really tried it on an ls1... is it worth doing??

thanx

Just put some spray Hylomar on both sides of the gasket. Don't spray it on the block or heads.

I personally don't like copper spray. It's sticky like a glue. .You want the heads to be able to move on the block freely without shearing at the gasket when they contract and expand during operation.
I find high temp Aluminum header paint with ceramic works excellent as a sealer.
With composite gaskets I use nothing. But with the MLS embossed gaskets I give a light coat and even the head deck. It fills in the voids which is important if you don't have an extremly smooth surface and will handle the heat no problem.
