Default A Rocker Torqueing Question

Do the lifters need to be pumped up with oil when looking for zero lash, then torqueing the rockers?

Are you trying to determine pushrod length or simply torqueing the rockers down? Are they stock rockers? If so and you are simply torqueing them down then i wouldn't worry about the lifter being pumped up.

No, the lifters need not be pumped up with oil when you are determining zero-lash.

Thank you both.
The rockers are Yellas. The valvetrain geometry was previously verified good.
The first time the preload was set, the lifters were oiled.

Remember to use a pushrod length checker you find 0 lash, then add your preload depth to the total length to get the pushrod you need, so no you do not need to have the lifters pumped up
