I buy all of my components in the US.

The springs are made in Brazil, but so are the Comp, Manley, Lunati, Patriot, etc, etc.

The quality of my kits is comparable to the Comp and Manley Nextek, but my overhead is far lower so I can sell for less.

We refuse to use another spring in our in house builds and in our cam kits.

Brian is always helpful and willing to go the extra mile to ensure his customers are taken care of and happy also. Hard to find that now a days when you're the "little guy" on the receiving end.

Wish I had known about these springs before I bought my patriots last year.
I'm all for helping out the small business man. I have some family that lives in the same town as him.

Which BTR springs would be best for a .58X" lift cam? The full .660 springs? Or is that too much?

This is the easiest most simplest way to look at Brian's springs selection and what will work best for you.

If you're build is utilizing stock rockers, then use his Platinum springs.

If you're build is utilizing aftermarket roller rockers, then use his Max Pressure springs.

The Extreme springs work just as well as the platinum springs do, but Brian had told me he was phasing them out a while back. He may or may not be still doing this, but at least that is what was told to me.

I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere but I've never heard it mentioned before. Why would 0.660" lift springs not be suitable for aftermarket rocker arms? Is it the available increase in ratio (1.8, 1.82. 1.85 ratios) or the difference in the design of the rocker from stock? I was debating on using the BTR platinum kit and although I really don't intend to change out the stock rockers, I am just curious as to why you shouldn't use aftermarket rockers with these springs.

The difference is in the open spring pressure.

The Platinum springs are only 400 lbs @ .660" lift and work great with stock rockers. Too much open pressure when using stock rockers can damage valve tips long term.

The Max Pressure springs have 450 lbs @ .650" lift and work great with roller rockers. The increased moment of inertia of aftermarket roller rockers requires increased open spring pressure to avoid loft over the nose. The Max Pressure springs when used with roller rockers could use more than standard 5/16" .080" pushrods.

I hope this helps.

Beat me to it!!!

Brian has always recommended the use of at least 11/32 .110" wall push rods or 3/8" .080" wall push rods with after market rockers and over 425-430lbs. of open pressure.

Thank you for the fast reply. It does answer my question and actually has me pose another. My cam is only a .525" lift GMPP ASA and I am setting my redline at 6600. I have an LQ9 with a set of stock 317 heads that are milled 0.020". I was looking at these over the LS6 springs for some added insurance that I won't have any float. I was debating on whether or not I would go with 1.8 rockers at a later date if I found a good price on a quality set, but that would put my lift in the .560" range. Would that be a significant problem with either rocker ratio? I may have this backwards, but that would be less open spring pressure, correct?

Once again, thank you for your quick response to my earlier question.

the platinum springs are fine in any of your cases, they are much better than any beehive
