mast motorsports has a gear drive

 

The belts are pretty wide compared to a chain. I cant imaging how your would get one on an LS motor. Too bad, belts rock. They substantially reduce harmonics.

 

Mosy obnoxious sounding PITA there is ===especially in a DD. 30 minutes after you put it in you will wish you didn't. Really doesn't sound like a blower to me---more like a power steering pump thats low on fluid or the front pump in the tranny is going out......

 

Is that the only advantage of a belt drive? Is there timing covers that clear belt drives?

 

has anyone installed/run the mast motorsports gear drive? I have to get a new timing chain and wouldnt mind running something like that for piece of mind. I could give a **** about the noise
