$4200 budget for bolt on car Hey guys, I have a 99 trans am thats ready to be powered up. Brand new ls1 with 5k miles on it, and a good 25k since build t56. I got a good summer job offshore and after calculations I figure I'll have about $4200 to put in to the car. I will be doing this work on my days off so no labor costs. It's already got good bolt ons, lid bellow, headers, cutout, z06 clutch, pro 5.0 shifter.
What do you guys think I should do with $4200 that will still be worthy of a daily driver?

You probably would have saved a lot of time by doing some work to the new LS1 before putting it in the car.......
With only 5K on a new LS1, I'd have a hard time pulling it apart for H/C/I change-out. In your case, with all the bolt-ons and exhaust, a Procharger D1 kit would be a great set-up, unfortunately it will cost more than your budget allows.

This minus the rear end.. That will put you way out of budget. AFR heads, custom cam, and dyno tune would be around $4000 Id assume and would be a nice combo. Down the road you could save for a FAST 102 and TB.
