Default video of ls1 tap five bucks to best answer paypal

I have a 02 z28 stock I purchased a few months ago. When you start it cold it has piston slap that goes away when warm but when its warm it get this awful tick. Here's a video car has 143000 miles

I can't really tell from the video (laptop speakers suck) but it might be an injector. One of my injectors makes a pretty loud ticking noise sometimes. Do you have headers? A header that's leaking will make a ticking noise too.

Could be a slightly loose rocker tapping around.. I'd pull the valve covers and have a look. You can re-torque each rocker just in case to 22ft/lbs.

That too.. possibly one of them not staying pumped up with oil after it gets hot and thinned out some.

143k miles and from what i can see in the vid basically a stock car id think it was time for a "tune up" ..... my moms 01 5.3 has 170ish k miles and we have had no trouble out of it.. (knock on wood) Time for a set of 243's, lifters, timing chain, pushrods and a CAMSHAFT

I think lifter too. Pull your valve covers and check to see if your rockers/pushrods are tight or loose.
