Another wont crank thread
ok.. here is my problem.. i have a freshly rebuild ls2 with wiseco pistons, scat rods, stock crank... the engine will crank but will not start.. pulled the fuel rail to check to make sure the injectors were pulsing and they are.. also pulled a plug wire and tied it an inch from the coil and fire jumps to the wire... so i have fire and fuel... replaced the crank sensor..nothing, replaced the cam sensor... nothing, pulled another map off my truck... nothing... i have a main power wire and a main ground and they are both hooked up and another wire that needs power in ignition and in the crank position.. which it has both.. im stumped guys....

dont see how i couldnt... -3.2cc wiseco pistons, new rings, new head gaskets, camshaft is a 239/246 .621/.615 112+3.. tuner said compression also but i dont see how.. i started the engine a few days ago and let it run for about 30-45 seconds and it idled down and sounded good..... then 2 days after the initial start up i tried to crank the engine again and it does what it does now

My car did this when I first did my swap and my ign wire was wrong and didnt have 12v during crank. But since you already had it runnin..sounds like its not a wiring issue.Do you get any codes while cranking, have you check all sensors are plugged in..like the maf/map,tb,iat,cts etc.Sometimes its the lil things that bite you.
Was anything changed after you first got it running?

The stock set up in my 98 and 02 Camaros had a ground wire that attached to the back of the driver's side head that would make the car not start if it wasn't hooked up or broken. You also might want to check and make sure the ECU has power and a good ground. Another problem I've run in to with motor swap cars are battery cables. Some times the factory stuff has little pig tails or connectors on the negative battery cable that won't be there on replacement cables.
Just a couple of ideas from problems I've had in the past...
Good luck!
