Not really new i registered jan 27th but this is my first time posting over here. My question is what (if any) low buck mods can i do to reach the last 5-15 HP ill need to reach 400 whp N/A? Ive got a custom grind cam awaiting to be put in, and the custom grind was to ground out for the biggest cam for stock tuning. Im sitting at 352 whp right now with these mods:

LS6 Intake
Mac midlengths with ORY
ASP Pulley
Spec Stage III Hybrid clutch
SLP lid with smooth bellow and K/N
Cutout

Any suggestions? Thanks.

 

100shot nitrous shoud get you to 450hp

 

Ported T-body is worth about 10rwhp.

 

Keep in mind the cam is going to have me REAL close to 400 whp...and nitrous is out i wanted 400 whp N/A. Thanks though.

 

I don't know why you're worrying about reaching 400rwhp. It's just a number and doesn't mean a lot unless the engine satisfies the rest of your needs. I've seen a lot of cars slaughter cars with higher dyno hp at the track.

 

Well ive had one dyno read me as running lean already, wouldnt that make me run even more lean? This dyno showed me running at 14.2 to 1. We arent exactly sure how accurate it is because it showed a basically stock 99 Z28 running at 17 to 1.

 

I could care less if thats true. This car wasnt meant to be a drag racer. It was my own personal goal/preference to reach 400 hp. Its not like even after i reach my goal ill have the fastest car or anything. Just personal goal/preference.

 

Electric Water pump + Ported TB & tuning for sure.
