Default Rods& Pistons 6.0??

Anyone can tell me where to get a budget friendly aftermarket rods, and pistons for a (Stock Bore) 6.0. I see alot of 0.30 over pistons, I was hoping for a set of stock bore.

What rods did you use, I cant seem to find one that match the pin size? Forgive my lack of knowledge, but the pins are pressed in, so the rods need to be bushed, or floating? Also the pin is 0.945 what do the rod end need to be 0.944?Also will the rods need to be 6.125, because they offer 6.200 ect..

what year motor do you have? is it an lq9 or lq4? My engine was an 04 and the piston pins fit my stock rods just fine as floating pins.

Im not 100% sure but the pistons I used have a .0943 bore which is the floating pin, some of the other replacements show .0945 which would be for the press fit pins. I also

chart below is for a 2002 lq9/lq4 the lq4 would have a press fit rod and the lq9 has the floating pin.

2551364, its a 2000 LQ4, it has dish pistons, but I want the floating pins. Are the rods in the 2003 engine stronger than the 2000?

Let me try asking this way. I can get rods with .927 pins,, what are some budget friendly pistons that will work. Will the 2003 piston pins will float on a .944 pin?

You should look for a stock set of lq9/ls2 pistons and rods. Then you have the floating rods and flattop pistons.

That Summit price is going to hard to beat. Rock auto is more they what $50.79 each. They do have DNJ # P3170 a full set $230.79 which appears to be flat top floating pins , IDK anything about these pistons or anyone thats used them.

I pm'd some one on here about the DNJ pistons. They said they worked just fine but I had already ordered the sealed power pistons from summit. It was $350ish shipped 8 pistons and rings. I think the only issue you might have is balancing. My machine shop said they thought they would have been balanced better coming as one set of 8. He did removed a decent amount of aluminum from some, I think he said there was 8 grams weight from lightest to heaviest. Oh and summit beat everyones price by about $20 per piston.

I checked and this is the correct part # for a LQ9 its a floating pin. Summit has it listed as a pressed fit and application 02 - 05 which is not right. So this is the correct part , they just have described it wrong.
