Met a guy at Moroso that ran this cam (216/220) with different rockers, 373's on an M6 and ran an 11.9 and 12.0 and 12.1's at 118 to 120. I think he said his lift equalled around 570 or so. That car was rippin'!

Check around and you'll find that this "small" cam can do 400 rwhp with the proper bolt-ons. I have one waiting to be installed. With 1.85 SLP rockers, you get to bump that lift a little and take full advantage of the agressiveness of the XE-R lobe. IMO a good set of LS6 heads (67cc PATRIOT stage II) and juice and that cam will plant me solid in the 10's.

I've got like 45K on my 918's with the 216/220 .579 .589 114 +4 cam, daily driven and I leave the line at 6700 RPM all the time @ the track. I wouldn't worry about the springs.

You leave the line at 6700??? I know this may be a little off topic, but wouldn't you neet a better 60' if you left the line at peak TQ vs. max RPM?? I've always wondered about that. Thanks.

I've left @ almost every RPM imaginable and the higher I leave the better the 60' is. I've tried every RPM and this works best in regards to 60 and ET. Try it, it feels good. Cam only = 12.1's @ 113 with a 3750 Raceweight and a 1.70 60' on a set of 5 year old 26x11.50x16 ET streets (with over 200) passes on em!

hmm ... i guess i need to do a longer burnout and try it. Last time i tried a launch over 5k, the ET Streets let go. My best 60' on ET Streets is a 1.87 ... most are in the 1.9x range

Do you have a line lock, they help out a lot in 2nd gear burnouts.

Im pretty happy with the cam for its size , very well rounded but as some have said you will need a tune , I had misfire codes and idleing issues. My car ran a 12.18 , 12.19 at 111mph 1.70 60ft with 2800 stall, ls1 intake I was having some horsepower loss issues from something in my car at the time (Dynoed after track and HP was down to 327) and I still have the same problem with the new mods I did over the winter.
1. Graph 2800 stall ls1 intake 216/220 cam Pic

2. After track day with problems Dyno Pic

3. After new manley valvesprings , Hardened pushrods , LS6 intake , TCI 3800 stall , Trans pak , Pic

I do like the cam it has alittle lope to it and its a great performer, Ijust have to get my problems fixed . By the way my baseline before cam was 311/333 on the same dyno and my car ran 12.40s at 110 mph with 273 gears so my car has always dynoed low.

I need to get it to the track soon and see what it runs, I know that the TCI 3800 is taken away some of the RWHP so we will have to see what times it puts down before I start swearing again. LOL

If i were in your position , I would do the 224/224 . Great cam and proven performer, you have 410 in your car I dont think you will feel like you lose RWT.
I have a very similar setup as you did when you ran the 12.18. Did you have any weight reduction? What tires did you run?

Any TR220 or TR224 guys getting anywhere near that gas mileage?
On the highway mine is decent. In town I can't keep my foot out of it long enough to get gas mileage worth a damn.
