Default Torquer V2. 112 lsa

I think im about to pull the trigger on the torquer v2 cam. The car currently is a 2001 ss with tsp true duals, pacesetter lts, slp lid, 25% ud pulley, k&n filter, racetronix fuel pump, dual springs and chromely pushrods. With stock gears and a six speed. I am looking to upgrade the heads in teh future but still want to get over 400 with the 241 heads...

Im thinking the Texas Speed Torquer V2 232/234 .595"/.598" 112lsa +4 ... anyone have experience with the setup? Would like to hear some insight (other than predator z... he has been talking to me about it so far in detail)

Any impressions?

You'll be happy with it! It's a nice middle ground between the baby cams and all-out max effort cams as far as duration and sizing goes. There are a lot of dyno threads and such in the appropriate forums here from that camshaft.

It was one of my options I had in mind during my last cam swap.

A friend had it in his auto trans am with a 4000 stall and it had monster mid-upper rpm pull. Very nice chop to it as well.

... Dont want to deal with the high lift of the v3..... the v2 makes similar if not the same hp with a little less ooomph down low... I can live with that if it helps my valvetrain take less of a beating. The v3 has a higher lift.

Hey Matt.. maybe you can chime in here. But the v2 112+4 lsa should be a tiny bit better with the advance ground in correct?

I can understand that, especially if it's a daily. 4-5 year spring change isn't too terrible for me since it's just a weekend warrior.
