Is a bigger cam NEEDED for a stroker? For a while I've been reading that bigger motors need a bigger cam. Ok, fine, do bigger cams just work better in big motors or is the extra duration needed to get the same power band as the smaller motor? Will a bigger motor idle smoother than a smaller motor on the same cam? Does it shut down sooner that the smaller motor with the same cam? If there's any other helpful info don't hesitate to include it. I don't need this info for a while but I'm still curious.

If you want to keep all things the same, then yes a bigger motor will need a bigger cam.
A medium cam in a 346 for example will be a baby cam in a 383. So if you want your motor to have a medium cam for the cubes, you'll need to go bigger.
