I put PP stage 2 5.3 heads on my 346, with a 230-237 lunati cam. I ended up spinning a bearing in the 346. Now im thinking about building a 408, but am wondering how much power will I leave on the table due to having the smaller valves in the heads and milder porting. I dont care about peak horsepower numbers, but am worried about the real world performance of the motor. Im sure the cam will be on the small side, so I am already planning on upping the duration and lift of that, just wondering about the heads.
Any suggestions? Should I just sell the heads and go for soemthing bigger, or will these heads suffice?
