Geez.... I hope mine ends up being quiet. Supposedly AI uses very mild lobes and I have hollow/sodium stock valves from a z06 with LS7 lifters. I hope I got my PR length right. I guess I'll know tonight or tomorrow!!

Well I'm in the same boat as you. I just got mine put back together (799 heads with Manley valves and LS7 lifters) and it now has valvetrain noise. The noise isn't tapping or knocking but you can deffinitly hear the valvetrain working now. I think it's just the nature of the LS7 lifter. A friend of mine has a C6 ZO6 and his car sounded like this when it was stock.

Yea whatever it is I have accepted it. I have Fearra valves in my heads.
It does not sound terrible but sometime there is a off beat tapping. Im not worried about it too much.

I had the same "off beat tapping" as well. At first I was running .058-.067 preload when that was happening. Then I upped it to .080-.090 and the off beat tapping stopped.

Did it happen everytime you drove the car? Mine is only sometimes. Its something I cant hear from the engine bay very well. I hear it under the car as if its echoing down the header. IIRC I had this when the car was bolt on only also. So who knows lol
One of these days i'll have a good vid cam to post stuff. Cant here jack on my cam phone.
