Default Which heads??

So I'm going to be buying some cylinder heads in a few weeks and I'd like some peoples input. I'm debating and can't really decide. I'd like to make 450whp with my M6 or more. I want something that'll tear up the street and strip I'm putting the heads on a 346. I'm going to decide which heads I want and then base everything else accordingly. I'm torn between TFS as cast 220, 2.5 ls6 heads or PRC 215, or TFS 215. If possible I'd like to buy some heads that would work on a bigger inch build down the road. I will have to change out the springs on any of the TFS heads since the cam I will run will be over .600" lift. I live in Reno,NV and I'm 99.9% sure since I know some people at Summit Racing I can get 15% off my purchase (that would cover the springs almost for TFS heads). I have a budget in mind but I can afford the TFS 215 if I need to. I just really want to stay with stock rockers ( I know you can run stock rockers with TFS) with the proper shims. What do you guys think??

You might want to look at a slightly smaller runner like a cnc'd 205-210 unless you plan on going bigger cubes in the next year or so. With the TF heads the main reason to run roller rockers is because of the bronze guides, not the springs...but you can get them with powdered metal guides and run stock rockers.... Without the powdered metal guide upgrade you ""could" see increased guide wear.

Also look at AI heads, AFR and Mast, but I think it is gonna be hard to beat Texas speeds customer service

AFR 210cc heads all the way. Great for the street and will still kick *** on the strip.

If you are going to run stock rockers on a Trick Flow as cast or 215, you will need to get the powdered metal valve guides, and use sub-400 pounds of open spring pressure.

also if you keep the stock rockers do yourself a favor and do the rocker trunion upgrade its easy and is a great piece of mind. I went with the TFS 215's the 13.5 valve angle allows you to use a more aggressive cam with combustion chambers milled smaller without sacrificing P to V clearance (Prc 215's also do this). I do recommend the powdered metal guides too.

Yeah. I'm debating between the AFR 210's and the PRC 215's. I want to definitely get the powder metal guides. If I can get the 15% off at summit theyll run me about 2k for the afr 210's. but ill need to change out the springs since theyre only good to .600 lift.
