They are on my motor...

Pros

Thick deck.
Great flowing head for the $$$.
13.5 degree valve angle gives more PTV so you can run more cam or mill more.

Con.

You really should run an aftermarket rocker. YT UL's here...

These were touched up a bit....

I have trick 235 on my 402ci. I removed my ported l92's for them and gained about 20hp and 15tq under the curve. gained 2.5 tents in the 1/4mi too with a worse 60 foot. I think AFR and TRICK FLOW are great sets of heads. I have had both.

Buy those TFS 220s from Total Engine Airflow and have them swap out the bronze valve guides with powered metal valve guides and you can run OEM rockers.

I've heard they make 7-10 hp less then a TFS 215cnc head.vengeance racing sells them with a nice valve train pkg.check the sponsor sales section most vendors will list a add for a sale on heads.

SOMbitch, what is being shown on your flow bench sheet?
This difference that they made in one port between original and "touched up".
Or the airflow from 2 different intake ports?

No.1 is exhaust port (through a pipe).

No.2 is intake.

The mid #'s are better than a TFS cnc 215 head (which is really a 219cc head)...

EDIT: TEA's bench.

Sometimes Vengeance will run a special on them. Call Ron and see what he can do for you... IIRC I have seen them $1599 with PR's....

Not entirely accurate... swap out the guides AND measure/shim the stockers, check PR length and roll out.

With the addition of a rocker trunion kit, there is nothing wrong with a stock rocker for most all applications if set up properly.... a more cost effective option and I've not seen a stock rocker break... yet.

The as cast heads come with the same "Max Pressure" springs that the CNC heads do, which is 450 lbs open pressure.

If you want to run stock rockers, you don't have to shim the rockers, but you do need to run less spring pressure. TEA has a couple of different spring options that are in the 380-400 lb open pressure which is what stock rockers need in order to not hurt the valve tips. This is of course provided you get the powdered metal guides, otherwise stock rockers will wear out the bronze guides in a hurry.
