97-04 5.7 LS1/6 rotating assembly, Mahle pistons, rods? rings? bearings? GM used????? What suppliers and changes were made to the rotating assembly of 97-04 5.7's in F-bods/Corvette's/CTS-V/GTO
Crank: cast with 12552216 (I've seen this on 2000/2002/2003 motors)
Rods: any changes? who was the supplier?
Pistons: Mahle clearly cast into the underside of the piston
(I notice a "+" sign at the end of the Mahle pn on 2003's/OE bore size)
Rings: ??
Bearings: ??
The changes made to the cylinder heads/cams/blocks has been covered over the years, haven't seen much info on the OE stuff
