Default New 5.3L vs LS1

Can anyone tell me what these bolt holes are for just above the crank? This is a newer 5.3L block that I believe used AFM?

My LS1 does not have any holes and I can't put my engine together without know if they should be plugged or left alone.

Thanks!

Thank you! Do I need to block these holes if I don't have one?

I agree, not need to cap them off.

Thank you guys so much! Got the heads on and everything put together. That question/issue had me hung up for a while. I should have just posted first instead of searching.
