Timing chain recommendation

Anybody have any timing chains or timing sets they would recommend for a mild build. Don't want to do any messing with the pump and want AOK clearance on the front cover without grinding etc. Obviously stock is an option, wondering what else is out there that is a quality choice. Gonna be a 220ish cam.

does everyone just use the ls2 chain without a dampener..? I need a new chain, but some of these LS2 chain's i've seen I wouldn't feel comfortable running without one. I see Trickflow has a new piece that allows you to adapt the LS2 dampener to the LS1LS6 blocks...looks like a good idea

actually, the Manley double chain doesnt require you to do any clearancing anywhere...
I run one, and have had one on other vehicles as well...never had to clearance anything..ever...

have to be running a Dry Sump to use this product

Not sure how many miles are on your motor, but you may want to swap the sprockets as well. They do wear a pattern that over time will make chain wrap more of a risk. Since its apart and they are cheap, I would replace them. The Cloyes Hex-adjust is adjustable and uses the LS2 chain. They used to make the set with the IRL chain, which was the best chain ever made for the LS motor, but SDPC bought all of these from Cloyes a year or so ago and am not sure if they have any left in stock. The IRL chain was a blueprinted hand assembled chain originally designed for the Olds Indy motor. The Katech chains is a close second and the LS2 a close third. The chain used for the Katech chain is also used on several high end cars, including the BMW M5 which is a high revving motor.
As previously mentioned, there is more to a chain than just the chain. A timing chain damper will help with chain wrap and your choice of harmonic damper (pulley) will make or break the timing chain. Stay away from ASP. A 10% ATI would be my choice here.
