Default Who has milled 317 heads (Tech)

Ok, I know that this is not my best option for heads but for my application it is. I have read just about every thread on the board and still don't have the info I need. (I know, welcome to LS1Tech). I have 4 simple questions listed below. Let’s see if we can finally get a straight answer on this. I have LQ4 pistons.

How much can I take off? .035”?

Flycut pistons required (I have LQ4 pistons)?

Will the intake manifold fit?

Who has done this? (have you actually done it?)

This motor is going in Jeep. TQ is much more important than high revving HP

Piston flycut is going to depend on the exact cam, as lift and valve event timing are critical parts of that equation.

If looking for torque you are probably going to be using a cam small enough to have this not be a big deal for your build.
