I would go with the TFS heads.

FWIW I have a buddy who is a member on here with a 3550lb race weight WS6, 4L60e, PT4400 converter, 3.90 gears stock shocks and springs, small 220/220 cam, 799 heads that are stock aside from valve springs, LT's, exhaust, Fast90 and an EWP that goes 6.90's-7.0's all day long. He 60's in the 1.47-1.50 range every time on 17" wheels and drag radials.

It's in the set-up really more so than the motor, but he just made what he had work for him. If he had a set of TFS heads though I would say he could go 6.60's-6.70's with how his car runs now.

There is a few tenths to be had just by swapping that converter out.

6.9s are attainable with a properly setup 346.. A 383 shouldn't have any issue.

Yea this is a street car though, I really dont want a donkey dick converter or to strip the car out. I think I can get the 60'srevised down to 1.60 but that may be the limit due to the converter and we dont have the best track prep up here.
