Default custom cam grind

Thinking about getting a custom cam ground.
Looking at doing a 238 242 .586 .602 110 lsa.
What lobes to have it ground on. Xer, lxl?
Car is not a dd. It's a stock head with bolt ons
3000 stall and 4:11s. Any opinions? Specs are
Old rpm5. Not much info on site about that

I ran a similar cam in ny 346...238/242 .595/.595 112lsa. If you go with the cam your looking st is jump up to a higher stall...I got the best performance from a 4,000 stall with this cam.

I'd go with either a higher stall converter or smaller cam.

Why do I need a 4000+ stall for this cam?

I'd ask someone that's ran that cam, for the best insight.

I am simply asking why such a large stall is necessary. What would be the negative factors of running a small stall. Also wanting opinions of other people that's ran this cam and what lobes to have it ground on. Thx for the advice.

If you run too small of a stall it can really bog down in the rpms where the stall is starting to spin the tranny until your rpms get high enough into rpm range where the cam is making its power.....if you have ever ran older 2stroke 3/4 wheelers or dirt bikes you know the feeling....kind of really bogs down, then when it hits the higher rpms it comes on like a light switch....the higher stall let's you slip the motor right up to where the cam is making its power and you get no bog down.
