Default 232/238 cam only Ls1. What Size push rods?

I'm guessing 7.4 with comp beehive springs will do the trick? What pushrods would be best. I see different pushrods like magnum comp and hi tech comp push rods.. is one better then the other or are they almost the same thing?

If the heads are stock then you could get away with 7.4

But to get in good habits, buy a pushrod checker and check for proper length..

3/8 is a little overkill. I'm suprised you haven't got beat up with the "pushrod checker" lol. J/k like the other guy said with stock heads and a mild cam it usually comes out 7.400 or 7.425...good luck bro

Certainly not overkill but heads probably will not accept 3/8s without some customizing of prod holes (clearance).
OP you need to measure for p-rod length.

Well the majority of regular builds use 5/16 .080 wall prods. These are usually available in increment of .025.
Now there are thicker than .080 walls available and also Mantons as more custom.
The less deflection done by the p-rods the better valvetrain stability and performance is given.

We stock several different lengths in the 5/16 hardened pushrods for $109.99.

In case you are interested, here is a link to our page. Keep in mind there is a drop down menu at the bottom of the page to select whatever different length you need.

We also offer the length checker for $19.99.
