Maybe a dumb question .. i did a quick search didnt see much.. Anyone have a site or a book that can walk someone like me (with some mechanical skills just never tore into the internals of engines much ) O how to properly assemble a LS (Lq4). I am thinking of doing my own work to my LQ4 to save money. Put new bearings, cam, pistons and rods in.
Thanks

I'm surprised you didn't find anything, there are several LS specific books that have been published.

I bought a book at borders called How to Build high performance LS1/LS6 engines. I would check any major bookstore, that would be your best bet. That book helped so much and I would definetly recommend getting some kind of book to help you.

Ls1 how to was what I used to assist me the first time I did work on an LS, but the factory service manual for a camaro/Trans am or pickup truck will give all the info you need, especially on the correct torque specs and correct order in which do rebuild the motor. You can get them cheap on eBay, I think these are the best because it is what the GM factory technicians use for reference. Good luck bro
