Need all the tips/tricks I can get!!!! I have a 01 camaro z28 A4. My goal is 7.50 (1/8th mile) with the stock H/C/I.
I have most all the bolt ons already. It has went a best of a 7.87 with me in it (330lbs).
Mods are as follows,
Bo white TB, BBK LT's, Full 3" exhaust through a magnaflow, SLP lid, K&N filter, PTC 3500 stall, transgo shift kit.
Parts removed,
Front bumper support and front swaybar, heat pump thing. Thats pretty much all the performance mods.
I am running in a class where I cant have any power adders. And also this car doesnt even have a tune yet. Im really hoping for atleast a .10th there.
Looking for any tips/tricks you have. You can PM if you dont want it out for every one to see!

How in the heck do you fit in a 4th gen at 330lbs? No pun intended...but losing some weight will speed up your 1/8th. If your running in a class that restrictive...thats the best thing you could do! Pull out the seats, interior etc..

gears might help , remove the rear bumper support 22lbs, adjustable shocks,remove the rear and passenger seat, that's around 50lbs. add a resister in the intake temp sender plug it will add more fuel,cant remember what size but do a search on here. but if your going to have a tune done no need to do the mod.

What about porting the heads and intake? That would be keeping your stock pieces, just making them better. What are your 60ft times? Do you plan on driving this car, or is it pretty much a strip deal? If only being used to race, somthing like a 4400 stall and 4.56:1 gears would be a hot set up for 1/8th mile. I know of another guy running a 5.13:1 for 1/8 mile. Have you relocated your battery?, that may help if you need a little more traction. Have you considered an aftermarket K member, with light weight adjustable shocks like the strange or QA1 aluminum bodied shocks? There is about 50 more lbs that can come off the nose, between swaping those things. You have skinnies on the front? Some of these things have been said by other posters as well, but all are proven methods.

Also adjustable lower control arms in the back will knock your 60' times down...like said above if you can do gears and higher stall that would really help too.
If you decide to do gears run your numbers in a few of the calculators so you get the right ratio the first time.....also if you haven't upgraded your valve springs I'd do that too just for insurance and if your running a tall rear gear that would let you run the rpms a little higher to get across the finish line in 3rd gear instead of hitting 4th gear overdrive
