Now if i spent thousands of dollars on bigger cubes, or had a straight up drag car, i would look into a custom cam.
That's why you let it become my headache

Can't beat these guys at their own game.

Martin-- one more question about exhaust duration. What are the relative merits of using exhaust duration vs LSA to move the torque curve around? Why would you do it one way and not the other, and in what circumstances?

I was just specced a 228/234 111+3 LSA cam for my LS2. It has a bigger exhaust split than I'd seen on other cams, is why I'm asking. Not looking to second guess my tuner, just looking to get educated.

Thanks

If I'm looking to add overlap and gain an earlier exhaust valve open point I will use duration to accomplish that.

If I'm looking to take overlap out of the cam and gain an earlier exhaust valve open I use LSA.

Now, that's all you get...can't let all my secrets out
