What could this be from

I started doing an oil change and I found this on the drain plug. I don't have any clue what it could be from and am wondering if anyone might know.

If it is a spring seat/valve seal how did it get in oil pan?

That's why our drain plugs are magnetic, to catch flaws and accidents like that..

By looking at this diagram I don't see anyway that the pieces in my first picture could of made it threw the oil passage system to make it to the oil pan.

The return does NOT flow the same way as the drawing you posted...

update

I changed all the valve seats/valve stem seals and they were not missing any pieces. Now I am really lost.

It looks like it is from a rocker arm trunion.
