For what it's worth I beat on my 5.3 running the rev limiter at 6600 rpm daily.. this car was built to enjoy and does many burnouts, highway pulls, track visits. hasn't skipped a beat. Ever oil change I cut open my filters and have a magnetic drain plug. Zero shavings on this 150k mile stock bottom end engine after 10k miles of ABUSE.

don't forget to see how much rpm's your tranny can handle too. Most people forget about that and boom
