You need to know the month and year on iron 6.0's to get the correct cam bearings.
In my case, having an over the counter block, 2nd hand, I had to have the machine shop measure then call around to find the correct cam bearings to match the bores.

Date doesn't really matter in that case, you either have all short bolts or long and short. Just measure the bolt holes, if you have some deeper than others, you need pre 04, if they are all the same depth, you need the 04+
